Air Pistol

The Kenmore Range is the AIR GUN center in the Pacific Northwest. We shoot .177 pellets indoor and outdoor, all year round. Most of our emphasis is concentrated on International Air Pistol which has remained very popular with our members over the years. This is an Olympic sport for both men and women.

International Air Pistol is shot at 10 meters (33 ft.) at the B-40 target which has a 10-ring less than 1/2 inch in diameter. This is a slow fire event. A regular match is 60 shots for record in 1hr and 45 minutes. Unlimited sighters are allowed before the first record shot, however they must be shot during the match time and decrease the amount of time left to shoot the record series. No sighters may be shot after the record series begins. The normal match for women and juniors is 40 shots in 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The Air Pistol League matches run at Kenmore are 30 shots for record in 1 hour. Leagues usually run for 8 or 10 weeks, one match a week, and the aggregate score determining the final standing.

Indoor Air Pistol The current indoor range is a seasonal range, in place from April to July. We have 12 firing points at 10 meters with target carriers. Air pistol is shot during the leagues, matches, and training sessions held during this time frame.

One annual event which can be counted on is an eight week USA Shooting sanctioned air pistol league starting the middle of April every year. The cost is $35 for the league. We have air pistols available to get the newer shooters started. The league uses USAS classifications, so shooters compete against others of similar ability.
