The Kenmore Range has two high power rifle ranges, one for the exclusive use of the qualified members, and one for general member and public shooter use. The rifle ranges are open 362 days a year for both member and public use. With two separate ranges where we can hold various matches and events and still have open shooting available.
Range #1 – Members with Rifle Special Use
Range 1 is an all-weather, fully safetied 300 yard high power range with concrete shooting benches and a forward position shooting platform. The range is divided into three bays with bullet-proof dividers between. The benches were designed and built by our bench rest shooters and are substantial. We have target positions from 50 yards out to 300 yards to suit all manner of shooting. Restricted to qualified members and matches.
Range #2 – Public Range
Our public rifle range is an all-weather, 50/100 yard range with fully safetied twenty shooting stations. This range is controlled by a professional range master who observes the activity from an adjacent range office and runs the ceasefires. This is a very busy range during the hunting sight-in season. Public shooting fee is set by the Board of Directors. Eye and ear protection, and chamber flags are required. This range has spotting scopes, rifle rests, and sand bags for the shooter’s use.
Small-bore Indoor Range
The indoor range is a 50 foot 11 point range for .22LR. It is reserved for events only. Small-bore and air gun training, matches and leagues are held each year.
Youth Rifle Program
We have an active youth rifle program. The kids work on the NRA Junior Olympic 4-position qualifications and travel to several local matches. The program has rifles, scopes, stands, mats, and ammo, and many coaches. They meet every Friday evening during the school year
Pro Shop – Range Office
We carry a selection of ammunition at competitive prices to keep our shooters shooting.
